Titans-Logo-SmallOne of the youngest North Bay Titans swim teams in recent history, took to the road this past weekend with amazing results at the first swim meet of the season.

Ten-year-old Ryan Tom lead the way for the Titans earning top spot in all 6 of his races.

He also swam personal best times in 5 of the 6 events. Swimmers also swimming to first place results were Megan Tom (12) in the 100m breast stroke and 200m individual medley events and Evan Kilroy (11) in the 50m breast stroke.

Titans placing second were Jacob Brost, Sheldon Kilroy, Alexis Mitchell, Megan Tom and Katie Tripp. The 10 and under boys medley relay squad also earned second place.

Third place finishes belonged to Brost, Noelle Corazza, Katelynn Hitchcock and Regine Wyss. The 11/12 boys medley relay and the 10 and under boys freestyle relay teams also finished 3rd.

Ten Titan swimmers earned 100% personal best times this weekend. Those swimmers were Joshua Gough, Emma Rose Kehoe, Sheldon Kilroy, Alexis Mitchell, Jillan O’Donnell, Emma Ringette, Ayden Ryk, Karly Saile, Quinn Schroeder and Jenna Wall. Most of the Titans crew swam a personal best time in more than one event.

Newly appointed Head Coach, Hillar Lainevool, attributes the fantastic results to the program that was set up by former Head Coach Dr. Cliff Noth and his ongoing mentor ship. Coach Lainevool also credits the continuing support of returning coaches Colette Wilson and Sam Crossley.

The Northeastern Ontario Region (NEOR) Developmental #1 meet took place over two days at the Sudbury Laurentian University pool.
